A. Select Invitations are extended to all players within the following criteria:

  • Top 20 players from the 2009 MIC
  • Top 20 players from the 2009 Northeast, Porter Cup and Sunnehanna Championships
  • Winners and Runners Up in other 2009 major amateur and college tournaments
  • Quarter-Finalists in 2009 US Amateur, Public Links, Mid-Amateur and Western Amateur
  • Top 20 finishers in 2009 NCAA Division I Championship
  • Top 100 in Scratch Players US and World rankings
  • Top 100 in Golfweek College Rankings as of January 1, 2010

If you qualify for a Select Invitation, please fill out Select Invitation and return with check for $250 made out as soon as possible to:
MIC and returned to John Kircher, MIC Tournament Director, 271 Marsh Road, Suite 3, Pittsford, NY 14534. 
Deadline is April 1.  Please send in your check today to insure your entry into the 70th Monroe Invitational Championship.

B. Players not on the Select Invitation List:

1. Return applications back to the Selection Committee by April 1.
2. The Selection Committee determines the field. Invitations issued May 1.
3. Deadline for returning entry of $250 for non-select invitees is May 20.
4. Applications are available to download from above.
5. For non-select players - Do not send entry fee until you receive your official invitation.

C. MIC Qualifier:
  • An 18 hole qualifier will be held on Monday, June 14 for those players not invited to the tournament
  • 3-4 spots and alternates typically qualify for the tournament
  • Please fill out the 2010 application (link) and notify John Kircher of intention to qualify.
